ASAN Global Web Forum will be held
On May 14-15, 2020, at the initiative of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ASAN Global Web Forum on "Governments Agile Response to COVID-19" will be held.
The purpose of the forum is to discuss the effectiveness and accessibility of public services in the pandemic period, as well as the irreplaceable role of social innovations and smart solutions in the context of the fight against the pandemic and beyond. Also, the exchange of experience in the field of innovative approaches and mechanisms is a key priority.
The forum will consist of opening and closing sessions and 4 panels on different topics. The panel discussions will focus on actual issues such as the provision of public services during the pandemic, social innovations in this area, logistics problems and solutions in the relevant period, as well as the overall strategy and prospects of action in the post-pandemic period.
Speakers at the opening session of the forum will be Director-General of ISESCO Salim M. Al-Malik, UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, President of the World Economic Forum Borge Brende, Deputy Managing Director European External Action Service (EEAS) Luc Devigne, Chairman of the Steering Committee of Astana Civil Service Hub Alikhan Baimenov, Secretary-General of UCLG Africa Jean Pierre Elong Mbassi and Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev.
As for the moderator, he will be a well-known journalist, futurist (CNN, TEDx, Forbes) Ian Khan.
Leaders, ministers and well-known experts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as various countries, international organizations and companies will attend the two-day Global Web Forum.
