"myGov" portal will start functioning from June 1

On May 24, 2019, presentation of the "myGov” portal entitled "From Reactive Services to Proactive Services" was held by the e-Government Development Center subordinate to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The main purpose was to inform the public about the presentation of the "myGov" project setting the foundation to the transition from reactive services to proactive services, as well as its essence and advantages.

Heads of various government agencies and IT specialists, representatives of financial institutions, including private and start-up companies offering electronic and digital technologies, innovative services, as well as heads of international organizations attended the event.

Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ulvi Mehdiyev welcomed the guests and spoke about the institutional reforms carried out by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the field of e-government, as well as advantages created in the civil – servant relations. The purposeful work jointly carried out with other state agencies in ensuring the relevant activities was also noted.

Fariz Jafarov, director of the e-Government Development Center, presented the "myGov" portal and told about the work done in this direction, as well as opportunities and prospects of the system. He noted that the portal created on the basis of the concept of "advanced government" will be the personal cabinet based and will provide proactive services to citizens. It was noted that the portal will start operating on June 1 of the current year.

At the end, broad discussions were held on e-Government establishment and "myGov" project.
